I've been to their shop in Vermont as well as purchased on-line from Kaleidoscope Yarns and both experiences were excellent. The staff couldnt be more helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable.

Comments: I toured Schaefer Yarns in Interlaken, NY earlier this year. The moment I saw this yarn I was sold & purchased 3 skeins. It is a bit expensive, but once you touch it you will know why it is so special. The colors are incredibly vibrant! Now everyone in VT can see it & buy it in person at kyarns.

Love this yarn!

Comments: I purchased the 'Duncan Grant' color way over the summer and just cast on for some cozy socks. This yarn is amazing. Wonderful springy bounce and so very soft. Nice rich colors too! A bit heavier than many sock yarns but working on size 2 (s) is fun and it's moving along quickly. Highly recommend!

Comments: I purchased the yarn called "Gertrude" because that was my mother's name, and those were her favorite colors. When I received the yarn, I found the story about whom the yarn was named amazing - Gertrude Ederle was born the same year as my mother and died one year after mom. And they were both strong, vibrant, courageous women who did things that were not typical of women of that time. All in all, the delightful, soft, beautiful yarn and the story have made this a great purchase - I'm knitting socks while I stand at a peace vigil (6 years so far)and thinking of the people who are harmed by war - while I make memorable socks.
