intriguing colors

Comments: I had bought one skein just because the colors were so intriguing, and the sheen irresistible to me. Decided to try knitting a scarf that would show off the colors and sculptural qualities of this yarns. I am delighted with the results and going back for more (full sweater this time- also a really rewarding yarn to knit)

Comments: This yarn is lovely to knit. It holds together and doesn't split and is very soft. The color pattern is exquisite. I made a cowl and fingerless gloves that I love.

Beautiful, but with drawbacks

Comments: I love the beauty of Manos Silk Blend yarn, and it feels great, too. But I have had some problems with it. Very frequently there is a knot in the middle of the skein and once, after dealing with the knot, the yarn after it was a totally different color. Kaleidoscope made good on their guarantee and sent me more yarn, but that was after I had knit 1/3 of a scarf! Even what they sent was very different from the first lot that I had worked with on an earlier scarf. There seems to be a huge variation in color -- so be careful to order all you need and, as you ball the yarn, check for color even within each skein. KYARNS RESPONSE: We agree - it is always a great idea to check for knots as you are balling the skeins. If you have this problem (with the colors being different) we would rather replace ALL of the skeins for you so your project will not be affected. Manos colors can be very different - sometimes when we order 20-30 skeins at a time, we have a hard time matching for a quantity of 5! That's part of the beauty of this yarn, but again, we want to make it work for you, so check for knots while you are winding!
