Q: I wonder what the number associated with the weight would be for this yarn. I have a project in mind that wants a "4" weight (you know, the symbol on the labels that looks like a skein of yarn with a number in it). The yarn sounds wonderful, but I don't know if it's the right weight for the job. Thanks for your time.

  A: The standard weight system lists a "4" as worsted or aran weight yarn knitting at a gauge of 16-20 stitches per inch. The Canopy Worsted does fit into this category.
