Materials
2 skeins Noro Taiyo
Size 8 or 9 US needles, in DP, 24" and 40" circular
A needle one size larger for bind off row

Gauge: 4 st=1" unblocked, 3.5 st=1" blocked
Finished measurements: approximately 28" square

Instructions
With DP needles cast on 8 stitches and join into a round. Place a marker at the beginning of the round. (This can be difficult with DP needles. You may want to use a split ring marker until you switch to circular needles.)

Round 1: (k1, yo) repeat to end of round. (16 st)
Rounds 2, 4, 6, 8, 10: knit
Round 3: (k1, yo, k3, yo) repeat to end of round (24 st)
Round 5: (k1, yo, k5, yo) repeat to end of round (32 st)
Round 7: (k1, yo, k7, yo) repeat to end of round (40 st)
Round 9: (k1, yo, k9, yo) repeat to end of round (48 st)
Round 11: (p1, yo, p11, yo) repeat to end of round (56 st)
Rounds 12, 14: purl
Round 13: (p1, yo, p13, yo) repeat to end of round (64 st)

Continue IN THIS MANNER, working 10 rounds of stockinette followed by 4 rounds of reverse stockinette, with corner increases worked every other row. Switch to circular needles as you can. Our sample blanket took exactly 2 skeins of Taiyo and we bound off after we had completed the last round of the 5th reverse stockinette section. Depending on your row gauge, you may or may not have these results. Just make sure you leave enough yarn to bind off with a needle one size larger than the one you used to knit the blanket.

Block blanket by immersing in lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes. Gently press water out of blanket and roll up in a towel to remove excess water. Shape to desired measurements and lay flat to dry.
