Gauge in knitting is the number of stitches per inch that each yarn will give you when knit on the recommended needle size. We classify our yarns as follows: Super Bulky: 1.5 to 3 stitches to the inch Bulky: 1.5 to 3 stitches to the inch Worsted: 4 to 5 stitches to the inch DK or Sport: 5.5 to 6 stitches to the inch Fingering: 7 to 8 stitches to the inch Lace: not specified
